What to expect

Initial Consultation

Our first session is a relaxed, in-depth conversation where we explore your specific phobia, how it affects you, and what you hope to achieve. This allows me to tailor the therapy to your needs and answer any questions you may have. We will also discuss how your brain processes fear, helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface. This session lasts 45 -60 minutes and includes a complimentary MP3 recording to support your progress

Therapy Sessions (3 sessions)

Over the next three sessions, we’ll work intensively to reduce your phobia’s impact using a combination of techniques:

  • The Rewind Technique: A gentle, well-established method that helps your brain reprocess the memory or experience linked to your phobia in a safe and controlled way. This often reduces the intensity of the fear response without re-traumatising you.
  • Reframing: We’ll explore your relationship with the phobic trigger and work on shifting the meaning and emotional charge it holds. This empowers you to think and feel differently about the situation.
  • Solution-Focused Strategies: Alongside these techniques, we’ll focus on practical steps you can take to gradually build confidence and move forward.

Each session is tailored to your pace, providing a supportive environment where change can happen naturally and effectively.
